Amarak Chemicals Launches 60,000 TPA Sulphur Facility in Jafza, Dubai

Amarak Chemicals FZC, an Aries Group company, has commissioned a 60,000 metric tons per year (TPA) fully automated sulphur manufacturing facility in Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), Dubai. This strategic move aims to bolster global supply of sulphur-based agricultural inputs, enhancing soil health and crop productivity worldwide. Leveraging Jafza's advanced logistics and benefiting from the India-UAE CEPA, the plant will serve over 18 countries, improving supply chain reliability and cost competitiveness.

Amarak Chemicals FZC, an associate of the Aries Group of Companies, has officially commenced operations at its new, fully automated sulphur manufacturing facility located in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), Dubai. This state-of-the-art plant boasts an annual production capacity of 60,000 metric tons of sulphur bentonite and other allied sulphur products. These vital inputs are crucial for improving soil health, boosting crop yields, and supporting sustainable farming practices globally.The facility incorporates advanced digital process controls, ensuring high production efficiency, precise formulation, enhanced operator safety, and consistent product quality. Its strategic location in Jafza, a leading trade and logistics hub, significantly reduces transit times and optimizes supply chain efficiency for Amarak, enabling reliable delivery of high-quality sulphur products to international markets. The inauguration was attended by notable dignitaries, including G. Krishnan from the Consulate General of India, Dubai, and Saoud AlAwadhi from Jafza.DP World GCC leadership emphasized Jafza's growing importance in the chemicals and agribusiness sectors, highlighting how Amarak's facility will strengthen regional and international food supply chains. Amarak currently exports to over 18 countries, and this new plant will allow the company to scale output and meet rising global demand more effectively. The project also aligns with the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), allowing duty-free exports to India and enhancing cost competitiveness. Dr. Rahul Mirchandani, Group Chairman of Aries Group, noted this investment as part of a long-term strategy to build world-class agricultural input manufacturing, combining Indian expertise with the UAE's robust infrastructure and logistics. Long-term partnerships with sulphur suppliers in the UAE ensure raw material security and consistent production cycles, underscoring strong India-UAE industrial collaboration to address evolving global fertiliser needs.
