AVG Logistics Limited has inaugurated a significant new business vertical: rail-based liquid logistics, marking a strategic expansion into the specialized transportation of bulk liquid chemicals. This innovative venture utilizes high-grade ISO tank containers, meticulously designed to meet global safety and quality standards, with Chemplast Sanmar Limited as its inaugural customer. Each dedicated train is engineered to transport 96 ISO tanks, equating to a substantial carrying capacity of 3100 tons per trip, projecting an annual revenue of Rs. 22-24 crore, underscoring the strong commercial viability of this high-growth segment. This initiative strategically reinforces AVG Logistics' commitment to building an integrated liquid transportation ecosystem. It complements the company's recently imported ISO tankers, facilitating seamless first-mile, long-haul rail movement, and last-mile delivery while strictly adhering to safety and regulatory compliance. The company has partnered with Central Warehousing Corporation for a long-term lease of its specialized flatbed trains. By leveraging rail logistics, AVG Logistics aims to offer customers a cost-efficient, environmentally sustainable (via lower carbon emissions and reduced congestion), and time-bound solution for liquid cargo movement, significantly reducing transit times and minimizing handling risks. The company plans progressive expansion of these operations based on demand, further solidifying its position as a comprehensive multimodal logistics partner in India's growing chemical, pharmaceutical, and industrial liquid export sectors.
