Azerbaijan's Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and Plastic Goods Production Grows in 2025

In January–October 2025, Azerbaijan produced 1,920.8 million manats worth of chemical, pharmaceutical, and plastic goods. Pharmaceutical output doubled, rubber and plastic goods rose 12.6%, and chemical industry products increased 8.4%. Compared to the same period last year, pharmaceutical production doubled, rubber and plastic goods increased by 12.6%, and chemical industry products grew by 8.4%. Among chemical products, polyethylene output rose 4%, ethylene by 3.2%, and urea by 0.4%. In the rubber and plastic sector, production of plastic bags and sacks (excluding polyethylene) surged 86.8%, plastic rods, sticks, and profiles increased 28.5%, and plastic bottles, flasks, and similar items grew 20.5%.
