RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has proposed Rs 300 and Rs 400 per quintal bonuses on paddy and wheat over the MSP for farmers, respectively. He pledged Rs 30,000 financial assistance for women under the Mai Bahin Maan Yojana and promised to grant the status of people's representatives to heads of local agricultural and trade bodies if the INDIA bloc forms the government. The focus is on jobs, farmers, and women’s empowerment.

Ahead of the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav unveiled a comprehensive plan targeting key voter groups. He promised farmers a bonus of Rs 300 per quintal for paddy and Rs 400 per quintal for wheat over the existing Minimum Support Price (MSP) to provide better income security. Additionally, under the Mai Bahin Maan Yojana, women would receive Rs 30,000 as direct financial support on Makar Sankranti to empower women economically. Tejashwi also announced that heads of all Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) and Vyapar Mandals (trade associations) will be recognized as people's representatives, elevating their social and political status. The INDIA bloc, which he leads, aims to prioritize job creation, farmers’ welfare, and women’s empowerment if elected. These promises come just days before the two-phase state assembly elections scheduled for November 6 and 11, signaling a strategic appeal towards rural and marginalized populations to secure victory. The plan has been presented as an all-encompassing welfare approach seeking inclusive growth for Bihar’s diverse citizenry.
