Chemspec Europe 2026, held May 6-7 at Koelnmesse, will unite the global specialty chemicals community, featuring 455 exhibitors across diverse sectors. The event will spotlight new product launches, process advancements, and a strong focus on sustainability with biobased and biodegradable solutions. A comprehensive conference program will explore trends from AI-driven R&D to green chemistry and PFAS regulation, underscoring the industry's resilience and forward momentum despite challenging market conditions.
Chemspec Europe 2026 is set to open its doors on May 6-7 at Koelnmesse, bringing together the global specialty chemicals community. The exhibition will feature 455 exhibitors, including 126 first-time participants, highlighting strong industry momentum. Manufacturers and suppliers of fine and specialty chemicals will dominate the show floor, alongside contract development and manufacturing organisations (CDMOs), equipment providers, and service specialists. Key sectors include pharmaceutical, agriculture, paints and coatings, personal care, and electronics, with further representation from water treatment, textiles, and recycling. Innovation takes centre stage with new product launches such as Cabro's platinum-vanadium catalyst, Enzymaster's biocatalytic solutions, and Midas Chemicals' expanded portfolio. Process advancements will also be a major highlight, with Fluitec introducing its Dynamic Cascade Reactor and Axplora showcasing significant investments in HPAPI capabilities. Sustainability is a core theme, with 61 companies presenting biobased solutions and 25 highlighting biodegradable products. Initiatives include SEQENS's sustainability-aligned ingredients and Alsico's innovative circular workwear project. The accompanying conference programme will explore critical industry trends, from AI-driven R&D and advanced manufacturing to green chemistry, sustainability, and regulatory developments, including a new session on PFAS regulation.
