Clariant Catalysts to Provide Digital Services to SECCO Petrochemicals
Clariant has signed a 10-year agreement to supply its AI-powered CLARITY Prime digital service to SECCO Petrochemicals for its 900,000 tpy ethylene plant in Shanghai. The platform will optimize catalyst performance, enhance plant reliability, safety, and profitability. The partnership expands Clariant's digital services footprint in China and supports SECCO's digital transformation strategy.
Clariant Catalysts has entered a long-term partnership with SECCO Petrochemicals, signing a 10-year agreement to provide its CLARITY Prime digital service for SECCO's 900,000 tpy ethylene plant in Shanghai, Jinshan District. The CLARITY Prime platform, powered by artificial intelligence, is designed to optimize catalyst performance, improve plant reliability, safety, and profitability. Previously available only to customers of Clariant’s ammonia, methanol, and hydrogen catalysts, the service has recently been extended to ethylene producers. The platform is developed in collaboration with Navigance, Clariant's digital solutions company. Gene Mueller, VP and Head of Ethylene at Clariant, emphasized the strategic importance of the partnership, noting that it expands Clariant's digital services presence in China and reinforces its commitment to innovation in one of the world's most important petrochemical markets. Yang Ying, Ethylene Production Manager at SECCO Petrochemicals, stated that implementing CLARITY Prime aligns with SECCO's digital transformation strategy and is expected to bring significant operational improvements and long-term benefits to the Jinshan facility over the next decade.
