Cloudworx Wins ABB Startup Challenge India 2025 with AI-Driven Smart Drive Innovation
Cloudworx, a Bengaluru-based startup, won the ABB Startup Challenge India 2025 for its AI-powered 3D visualization technology that enhances ABB’s motor and drive solutions. The startup will collaborate with ABB experts to co-develop a market-ready product aimed at improving energy efficiency and operational monitoring in industries, backed by a $30,000 award and mentorship from Microsoft and SynerLeap.
ABB India, in partnership with Microsoft and SynerLeap, announced Cloudworx as the winner of the ABB Startup Challenge India 2025, recognizing their pioneering AI-powered 3D visualization solution. This technology uses AI-driven digital replicas to enable real-time monitoring, simulation, and continuous process improvement, simplifying motor and drive selection, and streamlining commissioning and maintenance activities. The award includes a $30,000 project grant and six months of membership with SynerLeap, along with expert mentorship to help Cloudworx co-develop a minimum viable product for global launch. The challenge focused on advancing smart drive technology using AI to analyze drive data for optimal ABB motor-drive combinations. Over 100 applications were received for the competition’s inaugural run in India, highlighting the vibrant startup ecosystem and ABB's commitment to open innovation and energy efficiency. ABB celebrates 50 years in low-voltage drives globally and 20 years of production in India, reinforcing its dedication to sustainable and scalable industrial solutions through collaboration with startups like Cloudworx.
