Delhi's air quality has worsened to the 'very poor' category, with an AQI of 377. Factors like stubble burning, low wind speeds, and industrial emissions contribute to this decline. Despite cloud seeding efforts, the air remains hazardous due to unfavorable meteorological conditions.

Delhi's air quality has deteriorated to the 'very poor' category, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 377. This decline follows a period of 'poor' air quality. The city's air pollution is exacerbated by factors such as stubble burning in neighboring states, low wind speeds, and emissions from industries and vehicles. The Delhi government attempted cloud seeding to induce rain and improve air quality, but these efforts were unsuccessful due to low moisture levels in the clouds. The Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) has been implemented to mitigate pollution, including bans on coal and diesel generators. However, experts question the effectiveness of cloud seeding as a long-term solution.
