On October 24, 2025, Delhi International Airport customs officials caught a woman arriving from Myanmar carrying six gold biscuits weighing approximately 996.5 grams hidden inside her black underwear. The gold bars were valued at over Rs 1.17 crore. The woman confessed to smuggling the gold from Myanmar to India, and a formal smuggling case was registered against her. The following day, October 25-26, customs officers intercepted a male passenger arriving from Dubai on a flight AI-996.
