The Airports Authority of India confirmed that the technical glitch in the Automatic Message Switching System at Delhi airport has been fixed. Over 800 flights were delayed and several cancelled due to the issue. The system is now functional, though minor delays may persist as backlogs are cleared. Authorities worked with OEM and deployed additional staff to restore operations.

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) announced that the technical issue affecting the Automatic Message Switching System (AMSS) at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi has been resolved. The glitch, which began on November 6, caused significant disruption, resulting in over 800 flight delays and several cancellations. The AMSS is crucial for transmitting flight plan data to air traffic controllers, and its failure forced manual processing, slowing operations at India's busiest airport. AAI engaged the Original Equipment Manufacturer and deployed extra staff to ensure safe air traffic management during the outage. A team of ECIL officials and AAI personnel remains on-site to stabilize the system. While the AMSS is now operational, minor delays may continue temporarily due to backlogs in automated processes. AAI expects normalcy to be restored soon, urging passengers to stay in touch with their airlines for updates.
