Security agencies revealed that Dr. Muzammil Shakeel, a co-accused in the Delhi car blast, used a flour mill at his Faridabad residence to process chemicals for explosives. Shakeel and the suicide bomber, Dr. Muhammad Umar Nabi, worked at Al-Falah. A handler from Jaish-e-Mohammed, known as 'Hanzulla,' allegedly shared bomb-making videos with Shakeel.
Security agencies investigating the Delhi car blast disclosed that Dr. Muzammil Shakeel, one of the accused, used a flour mill installed at his rented accommodation in Faridabad, Haryana, to process chemicals for making bombs. Shakeel reportedly ground urea in the mill for months. He and the suicide bomber, Dr. Muhammad Umar Nabi, were both associated with Al-Falah University. A day before the attack, authorities recovered 2,900 kg of explosives, including 360 kg of ammonium nitrate. Reports indicate that a handler from the Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed, using the alias 'Hanzulla,' shared bomb-making videos with Shakeel. The handler was reportedly in contact with Shakeel through a cleric from Shopian, Maulvi Irfan Ahmed, who is accused of radicalizing doctors and recruiting them into a 'white-collar' terror module. The blast occurred on November 10 at 6:52 pm outside the Red Fort Metro Station, Gate Number 1, when Dr. Nabi detonated his explosive-laden Hyundai i20, killing 15 people and injuring several others.
