Delhi Police has mandated the establishment of Integrated Help Desks (IHD) at every police station by November 1. These desks operate round-the-clock to handle all public grievances, including cybercrime complaints, with trained personnel ensuring efficient, empathetic service. The IHD consolidates existing help desks into one platform, uses a computerized system to track complaint status, and includes at least one female officer per station for gender-sensitive cases.

In a comprehensive reform to enhance citizen service and complaint handling, Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha has directed all police stations in Delhi to set up Integrated Help Desks (IHD) by November 1. These help desks serve as the first point of contact for complaints and assistance, especially for cybercrimes, women, children, and senior citizens. They operate 24 hours daily with officers trained in basic computer operations and citizen interaction, including modules on cybercrime and sensitive case handling. The IHD merges previous separate desks such as Public Facilitation and Women Help Desks into a single, unified platform equipped with independent computer terminals linked to high-speed internet and printers. A color-coded computer system flags unresolved complaints: red for over three weeks, yellow for over seven days, and green for resolved cases within a week, enabling effective monitoring by senior police officers including the DCP office. The system also includes a feedback mechanism accessible only at the DCP level to maintain impartiality. Each police station’s IHD roster must include at least one female police officer to provide gender-sensitive handling of complaints involving women and children. The initiative aims to offer a structured, professional, and victim-friendly experience, streamlining processes like cybercrime reporting and complaint registration under one platform. Short training sessions keep staff updated on emerging cybercrime trends and reporting protocols. This initiative reflects Delhi Police’s commitment to improving public interface with law enforcement through technology and specialized citizen-centric services.
