Delhi experienced its coolest and wettest October in three years, with average maximum temperatures 1.5°C below normal and rainfall nearly six times the long-period average. Western disturbances caused overcast skies, cooler days, and warmer nights. Air quality remained in the 'poor' category, with the monthly average AQI at 224.

Delhi recorded its coolest October in three years, with the average monthly maximum temperature at 31.5°C, 1.5°C below the long-period average. The city also saw its wettest October in three years, logging 128.6mm of rainfall—nearly six times the long-period average of 15.1mm. Western disturbances contributed to overcast skies, keeping days cooler and nights warmer. The average monthly minimum temperature was 20.1°C, slightly above normal. The highest maximum temperature was 35.7°C on October 2, and the lowest daytime temperature was 26.4°C on October 26. Air quality for the month averaged an AQI of 224, in the 'poor' category, marginally better than last year but worse than previous years. The AQI peaked at 373, the highest in three years, with data gaps noted on Diwali day. Experts attribute the deteriorating air quality to post-monsoon stagnation, low wind speeds, and poor ventilation in the Indo-Gangetic Plain.
