Delhi's air quality stayed in the 'very poor' category for the second consecutive day, with an AQI of 319 on Monday, down from 377 on Sunday. Low wind speeds and fog reduced pollutant dispersion, and the AQI is expected to remain 'very poor' until Tuesday. Some areas recorded moderate or satisfactory levels, while others remained in the 'poor' or 'very poor' range.

Delhi's air quality remained in the 'very poor' category on Monday, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 319, slightly improved from Sunday's 377. The Air Quality Early Warning System (AQEWS) predicts that the 'very poor' conditions will persist until Tuesday. The main reasons for the sustained pollution are low wind speeds, which have dropped below 8 kmph from the northwest, and the presence of fog, both of which reduce the dispersion of pollutants. Most of Delhi's 39 monitoring stations recorded AQI values in the 'very poor' range, with Wazirpur and Narela among the worst affected. Some areas like ITO had AQI in the 'satisfactory' range, while others such as Najafgarh and Sri Aurobindo Marg were in the 'moderate' category. Locations like NSIT Dwarka, Lodhi Road, Delhi Technological University, and IGI Airport T3 recorded 'poor' AQI. The weather forecast includes shallow fog and temperatures around 30°C maximum and 15°C minimum. A ban on non-Delhi registered commercial vehicles not compliant with BS-III or lower emission standards took effect on November 1 to help control pollution.
