Environmental journalist Sharon Udasin, co-author of 'Poisoning the Well: How Forever Chemicals Contaminated America,' is scheduled to speak at the Longmont Library. The event will focus on the history of PFAS contamination, corporate responsibility, and the effects on communities. Udasin and her coauthor Rachel Frazin have conducted original reporting in four highly contaminated areas, highlighting the consequences of corporate greed and regulatory failures. The talk will also cover how affected individuals have fought for change and the ongoing risks posed by PFAS chemicals. The book will be available for sale at the event.
