The primary purpose of the visit is to open the country's largest international wind energy trade fair in Chennai, scheduled from October 29 to November 1. The delegation will engage in talks with Indian companies and associations in the wind energy sector in Chennai. Following the fair's inauguration, Saathoff will travel to New Delhi to discuss solar and bioenergy sectors with government officials and companies. The visit aims to deepen cooperation and investment opportunities in the renewable energy sector, crucial for India's ambitious targets. India aims to achieve 500 GW of renewable energy by 2030, and German companies see significant opportunities in this market.
