Hockey India Launches Nationwide Trophy Tour Ahead of FIH Men’s Junior World Cup 2025

Hockey India announced a nationwide Trophy Tour across 20 cities ahead of the FIH Men’s Junior World Cup 2025 scheduled in Tamil Nadu from November 28 to December 10. The tour will start on November 7 during the Hockey India centenary celebrations at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi, aiming to engage fans nationwide and build excitement for the tournament.

With just weeks remaining before the FIH Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup 2025, Hockey India has unveiled a nationwide Trophy Tour that will travel through 20 cities across India. The tour begins on November 7 during the Hockey India centenary celebrations at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi, attended by prominent officials including Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and FIH President Dato Tayyab Ikram. The initiative aims to build excitement, unite the hockey fraternity, and allow fans from diverse regions to experience the prestigious World Cup trophy firsthand. This global tournament, the largest edition with 24 teams, will be hosted in Chennai and Madurai from November 28 to December 10. Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey emphasized the historic significance of hosting the event and promoting nationwide participation in the lead-up, while Secretary General Bhola Nath Singh highlighted the tour’s role in uniting hockey enthusiasts from Jammu and Kashmir to Kerala. The Trophy Tour is part of larger centenary celebrations marking 100 years of Indian hockey, reflecting both the legacy and future of the sport in the country.
