Imported for the first time, this chemical will be applied to the outfield grass from today until Tuesday, the match day. Led by Chief Pitch Curator Dr. Anjan Kumar Khuntia, 80 staff are involved. Super soppers and dry ropes will also be used to manage moisture, preventing dew from affecting play and ensuring optimal conditions.

The highly anticipated T20 match between India and South Africa at Cuttack's Barabati Stadium is set to proceed without the hindrance of dew, thanks to proactive measures by the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA). With the game scheduled two days from now, concerns over dew affecting play prompted the OCA to import a specialized anti-dew chemical. Super soppers will be deployed during match breaks to quickly remove any excess moisture from the ground. Furthermore, outfield barriers will be carefully cleaned using dry ropes, a crucial step to eliminate potential slipping hazards for players.
