Indore, Surat, and Navi Mumbai continue to lead in cleanliness, with Vijayawada joining the top ranks. The Swachh Survekshan Report 2025 lists the top 10 dirtiest cities in India, with Madurai at the top, followed by Ludhiana, Chennai, Ranchi, Bengaluru, Dhanbad, Faridabad, Greater Mumbai, Srinagar, and Delhi. Bengaluru, often called India's Silicon Valley, ranks fifth, reflecting challenges due to rapid urbanization and weak civic management. Delhi is cleaner than Mumbai in this ranking. Meanwhile, Indore, Surat, and Navi Mumbai remain leaders in cleanliness, with Vijayawada joining the top tier. The report underscores the need for improved waste management and civic discipline in major Indian cities to address growing environmental and public health concerns.
