After launching its Kolkata-Guangzhou route on October 26, 2025, IndiGo is set to begin another direct India-China flight connecting Delhi with Guangzhou starting November 10, 2025. The daily service will operate on IndiGo’s A320 aircraft and provide convenient and comfortable travel. Flight number 6E 1701 will leave Indira Gandhi International Airport’s T3 terminal in Delhi at 21:45 hrs and arrive at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 04:50 hrs the next day, with a flight time of approximately 4 hours and 35 minutes. The return flight 6E 1702 will also operate daily, facilitating seamless connectivity between the two cities. This enhanced air link is expected to boost opportunities for trade, investment, tourism, education, and cultural exchange. The initiative follows discussions between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasizing the importance of strengthening people-to-people ties through direct flights and visa facilitation. As of early November 2025, economy class tickets for the Delhi-Guangzhou flight are priced around Rs 19,606, subject to change based on booking time. This development is part of a broader resumption of India-China air services after a hiatus, also coinciding with China Eastern Airlines launching a Shanghai-Delhi route in November 2025. The new Delhi-Guangzhou service is positioned to deepen economic and cultural collaboration between the two nations, leveraging Guangzhou’s role as a global manufacturing and export hub.
