J&K Police Crackdown on Delhi Blast-Linked Terror Networks
J&K police have intensified operations against a 'white-collar terror module' linked to the Delhi blast, conducting raids in hospitals, prisons, and chemical stores. Authorities are targeting radicalisation, inspecting medical staff lockers, and regulating chemical sales after seizing nearly 3,000 kg of explosives.
Police and security agencies in Jammu and Kashmir have expanded their crackdown on an interstate 'white-collar terror module' connected to the recent Delhi blast. Extensive search operations have been launched across hospitals, fertiliser and hardware stores, and multiple prisons to dismantle emerging militant modules and prevent radicalisation. The Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) unit has conducted raids in major prisons, including Central Jail Srinagar, District Jail Kupwara, Kot Bhalwal Jail Jammu, and Poonch jails, focusing on detecting illegal material and suspicious activity among inmates. Authorities are segregating Kashmiri and Pakistani militants to prevent coordination and radicalisation. Heightened surveillance has been placed on medical professionals after several doctors were found linked to the Delhi suicide attack. Police, alongside health officials, have inspected lockers and storage spaces used by doctors and staff in hospitals, medical colleges, and health centres. Following the seizure of 2,900 kg of explosives, including ammonium nitrate, from the busted network, police have initiated a Valley-wide drive to regulate the sale and storage of chemicals and fertilisers, verifying stock registers, invoices, and licences at relevant stores.
