Miles Cross, 33, from Wrexham pleaded guilty to four counts of intentionally assisting suicide by selling a chemical online to four individuals, including Shubhreet Singh, who later died. He sold the substances for £100 each between August and September 2024. Cross faces sentencing on January 7, 2025, after a police investigation uncovered the chemicals and related items at his home.

Miles Cross, 33, admitted at Mold Crown Court to four charges of intentionally committing acts capable of encouraging or assisting suicide by selling chemicals online. Between August and September 2024, he supplied a substance to four separate people through an online business, charging £100 per transaction. One buyer, Shubhreet Singh, aged 26 from Leeds, subsequently died. Following a police search of Cross' residence in January 2025, authorities found quantities of the chemical and other paraphernalia linked to assisted suicides. Detective Superintendent Chris Bell described Cross as exploiting vulnerable individuals suffering from mental illnesses for financial gain. The Crown Prosecution Service emphasized that Cross knowingly provided substances intended to end lives and made it easy for distressed individuals to order them online. He is due for sentencing in January 2025, with the court warned that imprisonment is expected. Support resources for those affected by the issues raised in the case were also referenced. The investigation highlighted the complexities and sensitivities involved in prosecuting offenses related to assisted suicide online, while stressing the importance of protecting vulnerable people and holding offenders accountable.
