Mao Nagas Celebrate Annual Get-Together and 53rd Freshers’ Meet in Delhi
The Mao Naga community in Delhi celebrated its Annual Get-Together and 53rd Freshers’ Meet at the Mavlankar Auditorium, Constitution Club of India, with over 1,200 attendees. The event featured cultural performances, speeches by dignitaries, and recognition of outstanding individuals, highlighting unity, cultural pride, and community spirit.
The Mao Naga community in Delhi held its Annual Get-Together and 53rd Freshers’ Meet on November 1, 2025, at the Mavlankar Auditorium, Constitution Club of India. Organized by the Mao Students’ Union, Delhi (MSUD) and Mao Welfare Association Delhi (MWAD), the event brought together more than 1,200 students, professionals, elders, and supporters. The celebration began with an invocation and welcome address, followed by vibrant cultural performances, speeches, and recognitions. Pabitra Margherita, Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles, was the Chief Guest and praised the community’s cultural values and contributions. Other distinguished guests included senior government officials, educators, and community leaders. The event featured traditional Mao dances, folk songs, art exhibitions, and a fashion segment curated by designer Paziini Kashae. Makeup artistry was handled by Ashihrii Hriiyini, and the showstopper was Eloziia Krichena, Former Miss Barak 2018. Awards were given to Chiisiiyia Phimu (Miss Fresher), Lohrii Augustine (Mr. Fresher), Muheni Athili (Best Attire Male), and Liyini Chakre (Best Attire Female). The day concluded with a closing prayer, reaffirming the community’s commitment to unity, strength, and cultural pride.
