MapmyIndia to Provide Real-Time Delhi Metro Data via Mappls App
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has partnered with MapmyIndia to integrate real-time Delhi Metro data into the Mappls App. This integration allows over 35 million users to access comprehensive metro details such as routes, fares, train frequency, nearby stations, and travel times, enhancing commuter convenience and urban mobility across Delhi-NCR.
On October 31, 2025, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MapmyIndia, a leading Indian digital mapping and geospatial technology company, to embed DMRC’s metro data within the Mappls App. This collaboration will give more than 35 million users of the Mappls platform access to detailed Delhi Metro information — including routes, fares, nearby stations, train frequencies, line changes, and estimated travel times — aimed at making metro travel across Delhi-NCR smarter and more seamless. Dr. Vikas Kumar, Managing Director of DMRC, emphasized that the initiative supports commuter convenience through innovation and technology by enabling better travel planning and navigation. MapmyIndia’s chairman Rakesh Verma noted the integration complements multi-modal transport features of the app, contributing to a faster, safer public transport ecosystem aligned with India’s goal for Swadeshi and Aatmanirbhar Bharat technologies. Besides aiding commuters, the platform also promotes transparency and citizen participation by allowing users to report civic and traffic issues in real-time, which are immediately relayed to authorities for faster response and improved urban mobility. Additional benefits include real-time public safety alerts and facilitating quicker emergency service responses, further enhancing road safety and traffic management in the region.
