Nazhat J. Shaikh Appointed CMD of Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers

Nazhat J. Shaikh has been appointed additional Chairperson & Managing Director (CMD) of Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited (RCF), effective January 1, 2026. A qualified Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor's degree from Mumbai University, Ms. Shaikh brings over 30 years of experience in the fertilizer industry. She started her career with RCF in 1989, previously serving as Director (Finance), and held key financial and IT responsibilities, including a stint at the National Film Development Corporation.

Nazhat J. Shaikh is set to assume the additional charge of Chairperson & Managing Director (CMD) at Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited (RCF) starting January 1, 2026, following the superannuation of S.C. Mudgerikar. Ms. Shaikh is highly qualified, holding a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from Mumbai University and being a certified Chartered Accountant and SAP FI Consultant.Her extensive career in the fertilizer industry began at RCF in 1989 as an Accounts Officer. She has since held various critical finance-related responsibilities across different divisions within RCF, including Trombay, Fertilizer Marketing, and Corporate. Her diverse experience also includes leading IT responsibilities during significant SAP ERP implementation and upgrade projects, demonstrating her adaptability and leadership beyond traditional finance roles.Between 2015 and 2019, Ms. Shaikh served as Director (Finance) at the National Film Development Corporation, a CPSE under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, taking a lien from RCF. Upon rejoining RCF in August 2019 as Executive Director (Finance), she was entrusted with overseeing all finance, accounting, taxation, reporting, compliances, treasury functions, and financial approvals. Additionally, she held an additional charge as Director (Finance) for Projects & Development India Limited (PDIL) from February 2022 to February 2024. With over three decades of dedicated service and leadership in the sector, her appointment as CMD signifies her profound expertise and strategic capabilities within the chemical and fertilizer industry.
