Nissan Motor Co, led by CEO Ivan Espinosa, is executing a global overhaul with India as a key market focus. The company intends to launch three new vehicles in India beginning in early 2026: a B-segment MPV expected to be a rebadged Renault Triber, a mid-size C-SUV named Tekton designed to compete with Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, and a distinct 7-seater SUV variant arriving in 2027. The Tekton SUV draws design cues from Nissan's Patrol model and will be built on a platform shared with the Renault Duster at the Chennai plant, featuring petrol engines. Nissan aims to boost sales beyond its current Magnite SUV and maintain steady product introductions every six months. Additionally, Nissan is exploring strategic collaborations with Honda focused on software and vehicle development, enhancing its technological capabilities. This strategic move underscores Nissan's commitment to reviving and strengthening its presence in the competitive Indian market with vehicles tailored for domestic and export markets under the 'One Car, One World' philosophy.
