PM Modi to Flag Off Four New Vande Bharat Express Trains from Varanasi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off four new Vande Bharat Express trains from Varanasi on November 8. The trains will operate on Banaras-Khajuraho, Lucknow-Saharanpur, Firozpur-Delhi, and Ernakulam-Bengaluru routes, significantly reducing travel times and boosting regional connectivity, tourism, and economic activity across India.
On November 8, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate four new Vande Bharat Express trains from Varanasi Junction Railway Station. These routes include Banaras-Khajuraho, Lucknow-Saharanpur, Firozpur-Delhi, and Ernakulam-Bengaluru, designed to offer faster and more comfortable travel options. The Banaras-Khajuraho line will save approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes compared to existing special trains and enhance direct connectivity among major religious and cultural sites such as Varanasi, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, and the UNESCO World Heritage Site Khajuraho. The Lucknow-Saharanpur train will reduce travel time by nearly one hour, benefiting multiple cities and improving access to Haridwar. The Firozpur-Delhi train, the fastest on its route, will bolster connectivity in Punjab, fostering trade and tourism. The Ernakulam-Bengaluru service will shorten the journey by more than two hours, facilitating economic ties among Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. These new semi-high-speed trains reflect India's commitment to modernizing rail infrastructure by improving passenger convenience, regional mobility, and socio-economic growth through enhanced transport links.
