Two Injured in Delhi's Govindpuri After Quarrel Turns Violent; Accused Arrested

In Delhi's Govindpuri area, a minor argument escalated into a shooting incident where Abdul Kadir alias Lalla fired three rounds, injuring Rajkumar and a bystander Aman Joshi. The accused, with a significant criminal history, was arrested within two hours. Both injured were treated at AIIMS Trauma Centre, and further investigations are ongoing.

On November 2, 2025, a minor quarrel in Delhi's Govindpuri escalated into a violent shooting incident when Abdul Kadir alias Lalla fired three rounds at Rajkumar near Sant Nirankari School, injuring him seriously. A bystander, Aman Joshi, also suffered a gunshot wound to his hand. Police arrived promptly after a PCR call and registered a case under relevant arms and obstruction sections. Abdul Kadir fled initially but was apprehended within two hours based on local intelligence and technical analysis. Blood-stained clothes and an empty cartridge were recovered at the scene. During interrogation, the accused, who runs a meat shop and has a prior criminal record including a 302 IPC case for murder, admitted to the altercation that led to the shooting. The injured were first sent to Mazidia Hospital and later transferred to AIIMS Trauma Centre. The Delhi Police team handling the case continues the investigation to recover the firearm used in the shooting. This incident highlights ongoing law enforcement challenges in the area, especially involving repeat offenders with violent histories.
