Uttarakhand CM Holds Meeting to Prepare for Special Assembly Session on State's Silver Jubilee
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami convened a meeting with BJP ministers and legislators to strategize for the special assembly session on November 3-4, marking 25 years of the state's formation. Ahead of the special two-day Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly session scheduled for November 3 and 4 in Dehradun, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a meeting with ministers and BJP legislators to discuss the key agenda and strategize. This session commemorates the Silver Jubilee of Uttarakhand’s formation in November 2000. President Droupadi Murmu, on a three-day visit to the state, will address the Assembly on November 3, highlighting the historic importance of the occasion. The session will reflect on Uttarakhand's progress in governance, development, youth welfare, and innovation over 25 years, and set a direction for future growth. Concurrently, celebrations are planned statewide, including a tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, under whose tenure the state was created. President Murmu also attended the convocation ceremony of Patanjali University and inaugurated infrastructure projects in Dehradun, emphasizing the state's legacy in yoga, Ayurveda, and nurturing a healthy India. Despite the celebrations, political discussions are expected during the session, with opposition parties poised to question various government policies and performance. The government aims to use this event not just for celebration but as a platform to showcase its developmental achievements and roadmap ahead.
