The Indian Meteorological Department forecasts mostly dry weather for Delhi-NCR, Punjab, and Haryana with mild chill in mornings and nights. From November 1 to 5, 2025, India will experience fluctuating weather conditions. Northwest India, including Delhi-NCR, Punjab, and Haryana, will remain largely dry, with minimum temperatures between 15°C and 18°C, slightly above normal but marked by a mild chill during mornings and nights. A new Western Disturbance activating early November will cause thunderstorms, rain, and increased cold, especially from November 3 to 5, affecting hilly areas like Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand with snowfall in higher regions and rain in lower altitudes. Heavy rains are expected in several northeastern and southeastern states, prompting official alerts from the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Light rain with thundershowers is predicted for parts of eastern Rajasthan and coastal Andhra Pradesh, while Gujarat will see dry weather with falling night temperatures. The overall impact includes a significant drop in minimum temperatures across many states by the second week of November, leading to severe cold conditions. Southern India will get scattered rains without major alerts. Delhi is forecast to experience smog and shallow fog early November mornings, with temperatures mostly steady but cooling during the nights. These weather patterns signify the onset of winter in northern India coupled with erratic rain in some regions of the country.
